Patch 1.0.4 changes how J.O.O.N.A.S. cleans and delivers. A new player report about sector registration is still unconfirmed.

The confirmed 1.0.4 behavior
The developer says J.O.O.N.A.S. now works away from players, launches toward the nearest catcher without returning to dock and cleans one hex at a time. That replaces important launch behavior, so an early review describing the old routine needs its date attached.
Build your observation around a complete work cycle. Locate the robot, identify the catcher it should use and watch what happens after collection. An active cleaner and a functioning delivery route are separate things. Check both before adding another unit.
Diagnose one unit before a fleet
Start with a robot whose route you can follow. Inspect the information shown when looking at it and compare that with what the map reports. Check the destination as carefully as the robot itself. A blocked route downstream can hide behind apparently healthy activity upstream.
Make one change at a time and note the result. If the problem returns after moving away, record that exact sequence and the game version rather than relying on the old launch explanation. The patch describes intended fixes; it does not prove every possible save and layout is now free of bugs.
A new sector-progress report
On 26 October, a player reported that sectors cleaned by a fleet remained at zero until touched with a broom, then jumped to complete. That is a single community report without a developer-confirmed cause or fix at the time checked. It should not be described as a proven universal bug.
If you see the same symptom, preserve a backup and record the sector, robot count, host/client role and what changes after manual cleaning. Treat the broom observation as evidence to report, not a guaranteed solution. Avoid rebuilding an entire fleet before isolating one reproducible example.
Common questions
Should J.O.O.N.A.S. stop when I move away?
The official 1.0.4 notes say it should continue working. A repeatable failure on that version needs a fresh report.
Is the sector-progress issue confirmed?
No. It is a dated player report with no developer confirmation found in the checked sources.
