Moon Sweepers tool upgrades: choose the next useful purchase

Compare cleaning tools, carrying capacity and economy purchases without a made-up universal upgrade tree.

Quick answer

Buy a tool because it removes a delay in your current route. A list of everything available is not the same as a useful purchase order.

Compare the job before the item

Tools make sense in the context of the route you are using. If most of your time is spent sweeping, compare cleaning improvements. If you repeatedly interrupt that work because storage is full, carrying room may deserve attention first. If travelling and unloading dominate, another brush may not solve the problem.

Keep the comparison practical: run the same patch before and after one purchase. Watch how many returns you make and whether the selling end keeps up. That gives you a clear reason for the next purchase without requiring a complete spreadsheet of every item.

A community route is a suggestion

Wing’s public Steam guide describes moving from the toothbrush through a nail brush toward a wider broom, then focusing on construction and economy. It also warns against buying every intermediate tool. These are player recommendations, and the exact best order has not been independently benchmarked here.

Use that route as one option. A player who enjoys manually sweeping can reasonably value comfort more than a rush toward automation. Likewise, someone planning a short co-op session may benefit more from a clear delivery routine than from saving for a distant final machine.

Make each purchase easy to evaluate

Before buying, say what should improve: fewer returns, faster collection or less waiting. Then check that outcome during the next short session. If nothing improves, inspect the route before spending again. Save larger experiments for a moment when your existing income loop is stable.

Prices and upgrade effects should come from your current in-game screen. This guide deliberately avoids an invented complete price list. If a video gives a highly specific build, check its date and version before following it; several launch mechanics changed quickly.

Common questions

Should I buy every broom?

That is a preference, not a requirement established here. A community strategy recommends skipping some intermediate purchases.

Are these upgrades shared in co-op?

The shared upgrade matrix was introduced in patch 1.0.3. Check the co-op guide for the scope of that confirmed change.
